Leaders in the fire service are routinely called upon to make decisions in hazardous and rapidly changing environments. They are tasked with bringing order where there is chaos while providing for firefighter and public safety, protecting property, and minimizing damage to natural resources. This class will echo what Brian Speaks on at Fire School for another opportunity to participate.

Event Details:

Early arrivals Friday Afternoon: Leave Crawford VFD 1pm 3/14/25
We will travel up to Edgemont SD (60 miles north of Crawford) to put boots on the ground and look at the 2011 Line of Duty Death of Firefighter Trampus Haskvitz was killed on the Coal Canyon Fire.

Steak Feed at Crawford Fire Station following Fridays Coal Canyon Tour 6pm

Symposium Reimbursement Details:

Attendees of this workshop will have the opportunity to receive reimbursement to defray lodging (MUST BE 50 MILES or MORE), mileage and meal expenses for the attendees. The grant has a budget of around $11,250.00 for the 2025 Nebraska Fire Chief Leadership class that will be held in Crawford, March 15, 2025.   If we exceed the amount budgeted, reimbursement will be paid in a flat amount equally to all attendees not to exceed actual expenses. 

Please remember this is for all 1st responders, not just Chiefs and Officers.
